London, UK, is getting a naked popup restaurant.
According to The Bunyadi’s website, you can experience “LIBERATION” (caps theirs) and “Enter a secret Pangea-like world, free from phones, electric lights and even clothing (optional) and revisit the beginning where everything was fresh, free and unadulterated from the trappings of modern life.”
To me that sounds a little like the stuff nightmares are made of (seriously. I think I’ve had that dream) but more than 6,000 people are already on the waiting list at time of writing. So, it takes all kinds.
The founders also apparently created a Breaking Bad themed cocktail bar which was quite successful.
Founder Seb Lyall told the IBTimes that the idea behind Bunyadi is “to experience true liberation,” (hence the caps, I suppose). “We have worked very hard to design a space where everything patrons interact with is bare and naked. The use of natural bamboo partitions and candlelight has enabled to us to make the restaurant discreet, whilst adhering to the ethos behind it.
“No doubt, this has been the most challenging project for us yet, which makes us very excited about it.”
There is no mention, anywhere, of what kind of food will be served.
Me, I’m a fan of dressing for dinner. But you enjoy your naked food. I’ll be somewhere else, wearing pants.
Would you go to a naked restaurant? Go forth and discuss.
